When the all-natural hair care brand, The Innate Life, we’re looking to send samples to those who would appreciate them, I was lucky enough to be one of those people.
I received the ‘complete hair care bundle – small’, which is very generous in size. It includes three amazing products; the herbal hair mask, rose hair elixir and the normal scalp treatment. All 3 of the products are organic and use the best ingredients to support and promote healthy hair. A couple of my favourite ingredients for the hair are castor oil, bhringaraj, amla, neem, horsetail and evening primrose (just to name a few) and these 3 products combined contains them all.
Just to give you a better sense of my hair type, I have long (bleached) blonde hair and my hair has a tendency to be dry and brittle, which is why I am always on the lookout for good hair care products. I only use organic, all natural products, not just for hair products, but for everything including laundry detergent, toothpaste, etc., but I do treat myself 4 times a year to touch up my roots using bleach with foils. When I tried out The Innate Life products I was thrilled that they actually worked, did everything they claimed to do and more.
The herbal hair mask was by far my favourite product out of all of them and might even be my favourite hair product ever. The 2oz. bottle lasted me one use (I have pretty long hair) but I probably could have stretched it over 2-3 uses. I left the product on for about 2 hours and then went in the shower and rinsed it out and shampooed afterwards. I have tried a LOT of hair masks and after I get in the shower to rinse off the mask and shampoo my hair gets tangly and knotty after rubbing my hands through it so I then have to use conditioner after to make it soft again. Except when I used the herbal hair mask, I did NOT have to use conditioner after shampooing it…. Say wha? That has never happened before, but it’s because my hair was still so damn silky and soft. I have already repurchased this product and gifted it to my mom for her birthday to spread the love of good hair care products.
The rose hair elixir smells AMAZING. It smells like your walking through the most glorious spring garden in a castle’s backyard. I love any product that has multiple uses, I first used it on my ends after not showering for a couple days to make my hair smell nicer… and it worked, I fooled everyone with how many showers I take muahaha. I then used it one day when it was pouring rain and super humid to tame those damn flyaways. Mission also accomplished, my hair would have never known it was raining that day or week I should say. I currently use the product when my hair is damp after showering and put about 6 drops on the ends of my hair and then blow dry it. The rose hair elixir works with the heat of the blow dryer to make my hair even more silky and smooth. After using the product, my sister asked me if I just went and got my hair done at the hair dressers, no sister, it was the rose hair elixir. I used to use just pure argan oil on my hair for split ends but this works 100x better and doesn’t leave my hair greasy at all. So just to recap: you can use the rose hair elixir to tame flyaways, makes your hair smell nice to trick people into thinking you just showered (yes, girls are sneaky), protects hair from heat, and strengthens the condition of your hair by making it silky, shiny and getting rid of split ends. I also repurchased this product to gift to my sister for her birthday and I only give her the best of the best.
The normal scalp treatment has lasted me dozens of uses as I use just a pea size amount of product and rub it on my scalp and leave it on anywhere from 10 minutes to 2 hours. It has a refreshing minty smell and you can instantly feel the cooling feeling on your scalp. Every time I use this product my scalp feels so clean, has no flakes and a healthy scalp is the foundation to healthy hair.
I highly recommend all 3 products to anyone looking for softer, smoother, stronger hair. It’s a great way to get your green beauty routine kickstarted.
